About RealNZ | Walter Peak High Country Farm
Walter Peak High Country Farm is a rural destination on the shores of Lake Whakatipu, reached from Queenstown by a return cruise on the TSS Earnslaw, a steamship built in 1912. Visitors take the farm experiences on offer, including a guided gardens tour with a Garden to Table Experience, or a gourmet barbecue at the Homestead Restaurant.
The restaurant also hosts Christmas celebrations in a lakeside setting, packaged with the cruise and a house beverage per guest. Europeans settled Walter Peak in the 1860s, and it is now a preserved rural destination with views across the lake to Queenstown.
