About Wellspace Sauna

Wellspace runs a wood-fired barrel sauna and cold plunge experience on the banks of the Kawarau River near Queenstown, and it also hires out its riverside property for weddings, celebrations, retreats and custom events. The land has been in the Boyd family for six generations since 1911 and is now a riverside nature and birdlife sanctuary.

Venue hire includes exclusive use of the sanctuary, which has tree-lined paddocks, alpine mountain views and a fairy-lit outdoor amphitheatre above the river. A building with a basic kitchen and a lounge with a fireplace is on site, and a 4x8m white marquee with windowed walls adds undercover space for dining or lounging, and an indoor marquee area has extra couches.
