About The Brae, Tastings & Taps
The Brae, Tastings & Taps is a hillside cellar door above Cromwell, formerly known as Scott Base Cellar Door, with orchard and lake views over Lake Dunstan. It serves Central Otago wine flights, craft beer on tap and shared platters, welcomes dogs and also takes functions.
Weddings are a stated use: the rustic tasting room works as the bar for drinks before and after a ceremony, and the reception can be outdoor dining or a marquee on the lawn. The tasting room seats 16 inside and up to around 50 with outdoor seating, and marquees allow more than 100 guests.
Couples can bring their own catering or use local options, with a stocked bar and a crew on hand. Rated 4.8 from 97 Google reviews, 83 of them five stars.
